This website serves the International PhD Network on Intercultural Philosophy around the chair of Foundations of Intercultural Philosophy, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in collaboration with the African Studies Centre, Leiden, the Netherlands. Its contents are exclusively meant for the members of this Network. Membership of the Network is by cooptation only. Only members are entitled to access the private pages secluded by the password gate below. If you belong to the Network and cannot get through the gate, or if you are not a member but can give a convincing argument as to why you would like to join, please contact the webmaster.

The purpose of this website is to allow the members of the Network, who are presently dispersed over three continents, to keep informed of each others' activities and progress, and to enter into frequent and intensive academic discussion. The website thus sees to provide a virtual emulation of a lively postgraduate seminar. This can only work if all Network members actively participate. In order to guarantee maximum accissibility and user friendliness, ordinary html is given preference over PDF; the latter provides more security and more stable formatting, but tends to offer insurmountable problems in cybercafe situations, on which some of the members of the Network have to rely.

Members proceed from this index page through the password gate below to the main page, where all links to other pages in this website can be accessed

PASSWORD GATE

if you enter the correct username (ID) and password, as issued to you by the webmaster/chair, you will now be able to open the main page, from which you can access all other pages in this website

please keep the IDF and password confidential at all times: if we wish to have open, critical discussions within our Network, which largely consists of inexperienced young scholars, a certain level of privacy will enhance the sense of security and openness among Network members
